Dr. Erica Mollica is part owner and medical director of Carroll Gardens Veterinary Group, which the neighborhood has coined “The Garden Vet.” Dr. Mollica started working in the veterinary field when she was 13 years old and has not left! She continued her education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with a clinical rotation at the University of Tennessee. She was then awarded a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and the Pfizer Small Animal Clinical Proficiency Award. She extended her training by completing a rigorous internship at the world-renowned Animal Medical Center in NYC. Her professional interests include behavior, geriatric medicine, chronic internal medicine cases, and palliative care and support. Since then, Dr. Mollica practiced in both Brooklyn and Manhattan until the opening of Carroll Gardens Vet.
Dr. Mollica speaks at many community events and schools, whether for career information or specific veterinary topics relating to the public.
Dr. Mollica and her husband live in Brooklyn with their three children and sphynx cat, Greta Prune, and a bearded dragon named Spyro. When not at work, she loves cooking and hosting family and friends, and is currently a glorified chauffeur to all her kids’ sports and activities.
