Erica Mollica-Garraway, DVM
Dr. Erica Mollica is part owner and medical director of Carroll Gardens Veterinary Group, which the neighborhood has coined “The Garden Vet.” Dr. Mollica starting working in the veterinary field when she was 13 years old and has not left! She put herself through Brooklyn College and received her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Public Health. She continued her education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with a clinical rotation at the University of Tennessee. She was then awarded doctorate of Veterinary Medicine as well as the Pfizer Small Animal Clinical Proficiency Award and the LaFaber’s Award in Avian Medicine. She extended her training by completing a one year rotating medical and surgical internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC. Since then Dr. Mollica has practiced in both Brooklyn and Manhattan, until opening Carroll Gardens Vet.
Her professional interests include dentistry, geriatric medicine, pain management and complicated medicine cases and avian/exotic medicine. Dr. Mollica speaks at many community events and schools whether for career information and specific veterinary topics relating to the public.
Dr. Mollica and her husband live in Brooklyn with their three children and sphynx cat, Greta Prune. When not at work, she loves cooking for her large family, checking out jazz shows and great restaurants.
