Dr. Erica Mollica

Veterinarian

Dr. Erica Mollica is part owner and medical director of Carroll Gardens Veterinary Group, which the neighborhood has coined “The Garden Vet.” Dr. Mollica started working in the veterinary field when she was 13 years old and has not left! She continued her education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with a clinical rotation at the University of Tennessee. She was then awarded a doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and the Pfizer Small Animal Clinical Proficiency Award. She extended her training by completing a rigorous internship at the world-renowned Animal Medical Center in NYC. Her professional interests include behavior, geriatric medicine, chronic internal medicine cases, and palliative care and support. Since then, Dr. Mollica has practiced in both Brooklyn and Manhattan until the opening of Carroll Gardens Vet.

Dr. Mollica speaks at many community events and schools, whether for career information or specific veterinary topics relating to the public.

Dr. Mollica and her husband live in Brooklyn with their three children and sphynx cat, Greta Prune, and a bearded dragon named Spyro. When not at work, she loves cooking and hosting family and friends and currently being a glorified chauffeur to all her kids’ sports and activities.

Dr. Debra Draper
Dr. Debra Draper

Veterinarian

Dr. Debra Draper was born in Bloomington, Indiana, and spent time growing up in Colorado and Arizona. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Arizona State University, then moved to Florida to pursue a Master’s Degree in Marine Environmental Science. She went on to earn her DVM from the University of Florida in 2004 (Go Gators!).

Dr. Draper has been privileged to work at some exceptional small animal practices in Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, and Philadelphia, where she had many opportunities to advance her training and skills in treating various cases. During that time, she also met many loving and dedicated pet parents and grew to appreciate the importance of the role pets play in the lives of their families.

She is excited to be a part of the healthcare team at Carroll Gardens Vet Group to continue pursuing her passion for pet wellness, especially her professional interests, including soft tissue and oral surgery, geriatric care and feline medicine.

Dr. Draper resides in Brooklyn along with her husband, who is an aquatic veterinarian at the New York Aquarium, and their “children”- a goofy Golden Retriever and a sweet old lab. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, reading, collecting vintage vinyl and shoes (guilty pleasure!) and exploring the city!
